Mosaic Mural "Tree of Life"
Created at the State of Connecticut HOT Schools Summer Conference. Teachers joined in who never did a mosaic before and they created a master piece! With the facilitation of Susan Rosano, MA, Master Teaching Artist, this mural took four evening sessions to complete, each session lasting two hours. Susan designed and laid out the tree on a 4 x 6 foot piece of cement board. Tiles were cut and labeled by Susan. Pieces were glued into the design and grouted by conference attendees with Susan teaching the process as we went along. This mural is proudly displayed at the office of the State of Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
